Mama’s Must-Haves… All the Stuff I Never Knew I Needed

5 Baby Products that Weren’t on My Registry

We took a small road trip to my husband’s hometown this weekend and as we were packing and collecting all things baby related, I started to realize that most of my must-have momma items weren’t things that I ever thought I’d need.  They weren’t on my registry and they are all things we’ve had to go out and buy since Weston was born.  These are things I use on a daily basis… sometimes multiple times a day.  If you’re looking for an awesome baby shower gift, currently creating your registry, or preparing for your newest arrival, you have to check out this list of must-haves!

The Ciao Baby

Ciao Baby!  I love this freakin’ high chair!  We have spent the whole summer at cookouts, graduation parties, my husband’s softball games, pool parties, and of course, our front porch.  The Ciao Baby has been a life saver.  It’s easy to pack, easy to set up, and cleanup is a breeze!   Of course we use it for meals, but Weston will also just hang out and play with his toys… which is way easier than chasing a crawling baby around a backyard making sure he doesn’t eat dog poo.

Baby Bjorn Soft Bib

We kind of skipped the whole “baby food” phase after Weston denied my homemade pureed carrots.  Luckily he quickly learned the pincher grasp and we pretty much went straight to bite sized table food.  Enter the Baby Bjorn soft bib.  This bib catches (almost) everything he drops while he’s eating which means waaay less mess (and less food for the dog).  My favorite part is how easy it is to clean.  All I have to do is wipe it down and done. We literally use this thing for every meal.

Crib Rail Teething Guard

We had this beautiful crib in Weston’s nursery.  Then, one day, he started teething and learned how to stand up.  The next thing I knew, it looked like I had been trying to cage a wild beast.  There were teeth marks ALL OVER the rails of his crib… and small specks of crib finish stuck inside all of his baby fat rolls.  I ordered these crib rail teething guards that match his nursery.  Problem solved!  I’m not gonna lie, the fact that this product even exists makes me feel so much better.  I’m happy to know I’m not the only one who has a baby that wants to eat their crib.

Munchkin Miracle 360 Trainer Cup

Save your money and only buy this sippy cup.  We tried 5 different types of sippy cups.  The Munchkin 360 Miracle Cup is the only one that Weston understands how to drink out of and doesn’t spill.

Baby Play Yard

Ya’ll, Weston outgrew all those awesome baby trapping devices so quickly (you know… the swing, the bouncy chair, the jumparoo).  All the sudden, my son was 6 months old, crawling around the house and no longer wanted to be tied down by anything.  How was I going to go the bathroom or put a load of laundry in?  Then my MIL gave us the baby play yard or as I like to call it, Weston’s cage.  He can only tolerate it in small intervals, but when you need to get something done quickly and without interference, this thing is great!
